It is a well-known legend that Cleopatra, the Queen of Ancient Egypt, took milk baths to preserve her beauty and youth. To provide enough donkey milk for her daily bath, approximately 700 donkeys were required. Donkey milk is very special. It’s only available for about six months out of the year, and a donkey can only product anywhere from a half liter to a full liter a day, as compared to a cow’s 30 liters a day. It actually resembles human breast milk more so than cow’s milk does.
